Heyaa!

Welcome to my own little spot in the world. I’m Nathan Weeks. If you’re here, you’re probably wanting to know a little more about me, what I’m like, all that. If you’re looking for pictures, you’re on the wrong page – that’s on a totally different one, unless you like pictures of my mug.

Anyway, let’s get started, shall we?

I’ve been designing games since I was a little kid. At first, it was just to entertain myself: I’d draw out pinball games on scrap paper and then “play them” with little markers to represent the ball, and keep score. Later I’d build bigger games (board games, RPGs, LEGO games and the like) to play with my two younger brothers. Naturally, it’s hard to keep up with scoring on paper, and especially larger databases. That’s more or less why I started learning to program when I was 8 (though it was several years before I was really much good at it).

I like entertaining people. That’s why I make games, why I write stories, and why I learned 3D modeling. I find it fulfilling to be able to step back and think, “Hey, these people really like this!” That mindset instills a passion into my work I could hardly reproduce otherwise. When I find a new project I feel strongly about, I tend to latch onto it and give it everything I have, be it creating a large-scale RPG, writing a novel series, or managing a guild in an MMO. I like to take long walks or jogs outside when I’m not working, and enjoy most genres of computer games.

My diverse skill set includes everything from programming to writing, 3d modeling to game design, community management to quality assurance… but mostly, I classify myself as a 3D artist. It’s what I like best, after all.

Thanks for stopping by, and I wish you all the best!
